Step 1 – Open Your Account
For your convenience, you can open your account online right now! The process is easy, and we’ll walk you through it step by step. Or if you prefer, stop by and open your account at any ICCU branch.
Step 2 – Switch Your Direct Deposit and Automatic Payments
Once you have opened your account you will need to switch your Direct Deposit and automatic payments to your new ICCU account. Don’t worry, this is easier than you think.
Step 3 – Close Your Old Account
Before closing your old account, make sure the following have been completed:
- All checks have cleared your old account
- All Direct Deposits and automatic payments have been switched to your new ICCU account
- For your protection, destroy any remaining checks, debit cards and ATM cards from your old account
Upon completion of these steps, submit a Letter of Closure to your old financial institution.
