On December 8, Donald D. Stalker Elementary Center School in Blackfoot, Idaho was presented with a check for over $3,000 from a fundraiser held at Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU). Raffle tickets were sold to help Stalker Elementary with their fundraiser to purchase much needed technology in classrooms.
ICCU Vice President, Corey Dahle and his children previously attended this school and he said when he found out about the need, he wanted to organize something to help. Dahle spread the word to ICCU team members and encouraged them to purchase raffle tickets. He motivated them even further by personally matching a percentage of the donations. On top of this, Dahle was able to secure an additional match from ICCU. In the end, 85 ICCU team members participated in raising over $3,000.
Because of ICCU’s contribution, the school easily exceeded their raffle ticket goal of $10,000 and will be installing projectors and Apple TVs in the coming months.
