Idaho Gives brings nonprofits and Idahoans together for a day of online giving and sharing. It’s a day to celebrate the awesome work of Idaho’s nonprofits and benefit from the power of many. Idaho Central Credit Union was excited to sponsor Idaho Gives for the third year in a row!
On May 7, Idaho Central participated in four kick-off breakfasts across the state in Boise, Twin Falls, Chubbuck, and Idaho Falls. The media, nonprofits, and community members were invited to come, share their stories, and donate to the nonprofit(s) of their choice. Several breakfasts had the Idaho Central Money Machine, Green Machines and special appearances from Share Bear! Idaho Central also opened its lobby kiosks in all branches as online giving stations for anyone who needed access to a computer to make their online donation. In addition, Idaho Central also encouraged members and team members to give.
During the 24-hour period over 8,900 Idahoans raised a combined $1,083,865. The final contributions easily surpassed the $750,000 raised in 2014. For details on the final numbers raised for each nonprofit you can visit the Idaho Gives website.
When asked why Idaho Central likes to be a part of this event, Laura Smith, Public Relations Manager, said “ICCU participates in Idaho Gives because we love to support nonprofits. The day creates so much energy and we love that the money donated goes to such great causes.”
